Has SD suspended his campaign yet  :runaway:

I’m still in. I owe it to my supporters to see this thing through.

Klob: a rookie on the stage right now, but after this election is over will shoot a thousand jump shots every night after practice and will be back to dunk on your rough ridin' faces next time. Just you wait, motherfuckers.

Okay. She's ready now.

3rd place in NH.

Her first act as president should be to remove all salad forks from the country and mandate the use of combs.

The Democrats are going to eff this up. The only question is how. Nominating someone a bunch of people won't vote for because SOCIALISM seems like the most likely scenario.

Buttigieg’s supporters think this critique conflates political pragmatism with insufficient progressivism. “The other folks running have pretty liberal positions, but they don’t provide the best chance of actually getting these things done,” Adler told me. “Pete has proposed some pretty dramatic stuff with respect to our political institutions, like reforming the Supreme Court and eliminating the filibuster. That’s how you make change happen.”

LOL, man people are so rough ridin' dumb. Eliminate student loan debt, impossible, how would we ever do that? Eliminate a Senate rule that has only been strengthened in it's 214 years of it's existence, no rough ridin' problem, bro!

Liz should quit right now, before SC. She'll probably stick around until after Nevada though which sucks. If she dropped now Bernie would win SC pretty easy. We have to hear Biden talk about black people like we're pets, his loyal, trained dogs, for one more week. He's still going to lose SC because not a single damn white person down there is going to vote for him, he'd have to get every single black vote, and that ain't happening.

I gave Liz money, but I'm not sad she's gone, as I've always said, her and Bernie are functionally the same candidate. Her losing early is much better for the party, we know her supporters will still vote, a lot of the Bernie bots would cry about a fix and just stay home drinking Faygo and playing Call of Duty instead of voting. So win win for progressives.

will be interesting to see some national and nevada/sc polling now.  my guess is biden will be surprisingly resilient and buttigieg/klobsie still relatively minor players.  but i'm not hugely confident in either prediction.

there's also the wrinkle that everyone talks about reid having some weird tammany hall-like throwback machine in las vegas and god alone knows if that was ever true, if it still is if it ever was and if he'd use it for anyone this year if so.

Bernie was expected to do well in the first two states. And not so well in the next two. In NH at least, he did not perform nearly as well against the field as he did in 2016. It could get interesting!

The field was one other person. And it was a really shitty person.

He was in a close race in his home territory!

Hope you are right. I need some mild middle of the road flavors on this general ballot.

The Faygo ... .
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Sanders and Pete are the definite winners from Iowa and NH, with Klo not far behind. The delegates aren’t that big of a deal at this point, but people elsewhere are going to start considering Klo and Pete a lot more electable, which will help in tougher races. Klo hasn’t been picked on by anyone yet, though. So we’ll see what comes out if/when she’s considered a more serious threat.

As MIR said, the past week has been huge for Bernie not so much because he’s been winning, but because Warren has been doing so poorly.

Biden (unsurprisingly) sounds out of his mind. I feel like a lot of his early support was predicated on him cruising to victory and now that he seems rattled there’s got to be some compounding effect there.

I think Biden is close to throwing in the towel. My perception (could be way off) is he has done a lot of talking about getting behind whichever dem candidate wins and not talking up his “electability” as much.

I think Klo was the big winner. I think Pete did worse than he needed to to have a legitimate shot at being the nominee. Sanders did a little worse than expected, but is still the likely nominee, imo.

Klo’s surge is definitely bad for Pete, but also not great for Sanders. It’s mostly anecdotal, but sounds like a fair chunk of Klo’s votes in NH came from former Warren supporters, who you otherwise would’ve expected to go to Bernie as their second choice.

Yeah. If Biden drops out sooner than expected, it will be very interesting to see where his votes go.

I heard on TV that Klob had a staff of only like 20 people in Nevada as of last night. But Bernie and Pete are much weaker in NV and SC than IA and NH and things can happen quickly!
