Well I guess anyone with a salaried job at a major company is going to be “working on” billion dollar decisions.

It’s not absolutely unique to McKinsey but it’s pretty much 100% of what they do.

Well besides the fact that he was probably involved in fixing the price of bread in Canada and a CIA asset. Nothing unusual about Pete’s time at McKinsey.

Glad he’s being more honest about it now. Who actually thought fresh out of college Pete was making billion dollar decisions?

My God, you're the moderate version of dax. Why put on the clown makeup for a long shot candidate? You've become a weird parody, it's okay to like Pete but not have your tongue all the way up his ass, he isn't Jesus.

It is OK to have a job where you don't 100% agree with your clients' decisions. It's the hallmark of being a professional. As an aside, I was about to respond to this thinking it was a TBT post. Woof.

Doesn't seem like the conversation that most were having on this topic. Thank you for letting all of us know that you don't have to agree with your employer though, we'll carry that with us forever.

I do, I'm a massive drunk.

Now can we get back to Pete being caught painting his work for this seemingly innocuous employer in a different light to suit different situations, or do we have to listen to more life lessons from you about a topic we hashed out in November? Who cares whether or not his beliefs aligns closely with McKinsey? Hell we don't even know what he did there, he seemingly doesn't.

I've got some bad news about politicians or really anyone who's trying to get a new position.

Maybe it’s because I have a little thing called integrity, but the descriptions on my resume for prior jobs come straight from the employer provided job descriptions.

Pete is a DINO.  The progressive crowd at gE.c appears to have sniffed that out.

I actually don't believe that at all. He seems to have trouble being forthright, which makes me question if he's as progressive as his policy statements make him out to be. BTW he isn't, he's an Obama moderate, which is fine for a lot of the Democratic party, and even a good number of recently disillusioned Republicans, his brand of politics just aren't for me when I have a buffet of options.

If it weren't for catastrophe's sloppy felating, I probably wouldn't have much to say about Pete at all. SD clearly supports Pete, but he doesn't take it to MAGA levels of idolatry like cat does.
