When Trump rolls out the 2016 playbook and Biden is defending Hunter Biden getting a six figure no show job in Ukraine and an Amtrak job because he "likes trains" and Trump wins re-election, you guys can pull this back up.

What’s the better play kk? Run Bernie who just got his ass whipped in every single swing state?

Which of these are swing states?  North Carolina?

Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia

I can’t tell if you guys are joking about the dictator stuff.

I'll explain:

According to RUIN, Barrack Obama was just joking about wanting to continue on as dictator president.    Just a big ol Joke when Barrack talked about who he could beat, and how he could just keep on going but those gosh darn laws keep getting in the way.  Hur-hur-hur

Also according to RUIN.  Don Trump is super serious and truly wants to be a dictator.

hindsight got me thinking - what if Bernie had dropped out after his heart attack and threw all his support at Warren? she probably woulda been destroyed because sexism but interesting to think about.

That was really head scratching to me, too. Some of you people are really unhinged. Reminds me of that bet TBT made and then backed out of regarding whether Trump would surrender power peacefully if voted out of office.

It can't happen here. Someone will stop it. That stuff is for OTHER countries. We're special! USA! USA! USA!

When Trump rolls out the 2016 playbook...Hunter...Ukraine...Amtrak

No one will care.

lol ok

Who knows, but I think people will probably care. Biden's corrupt as hell. And he's going senile. And he doesn't excite the progressive base. The Dems are hoping that hatred for Trump will be enough to offset all of Biden's massive deficiencies as a candidate. It didn't work for Hillary, and I'm doubtful it'll work for Biden, either.

The DemsAndMediaButIRepeatMyself are also hoping to develop a consistent drumbeat narrative that'll stick against Trump through the entire election season, kinda like they used Iraq War and Katrina against GWB. Trump didn't get us into a war, and the Russia/Ukraine stuff fizzled, so now they're hoping to use Corona to the same purpose. I think that's a shame because this sort of hysteria is harmful to people and our economy, but it's definitely happening.

To be fair, I'm not saying the Corona hysteria is entirely politically motivated. Some concern is warranted. And we also live in a different age of communication where the near instaneous feedback loop can exponentially magnify any new fear into a full-fledged panic. Can you imagine Y2K if we had Twitter, Facebook, and Peak 24hr Cable News at the time?  :flush:
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

last time Minnesota voted republican was 1952.  Virginia is now 3 straight for Dems. These are not swing states.

The last time Minnesota voted for a Republican president was 1972.

There are traditional swing states and there are 2016 Trump states that can be flipped. There's a lot of overlap, but aren't we mostly interested in the latter here?

Which states are you talking about.  I think Arizona could be flipped with strong Latino turnout.  But, I think the Midwest is obviously necessary to flip back to even have a chance.  Florida seems like a fool's errand to me, but I guess could be competitive.

I was thinking of MI and PA as blue states that Trump won, but on second thought maybe those would be considered traditional swing states.

2016 Florida vote was 49.0% to 47.8%. 2020 polls are dead even.

None of this is anywhere near as disqualifying as being an admitted socialist.

It won't happen in 2020, but Texas is turning purpler as (a) more outsiders move here, and (b) the population continues to consolidate in the major urban centers.
