farthest left vote score in the senate from 2017-2019.

https://voteview.com/congress/senate/115/text

actually that score is from her entire time in the senate.  since she entered, she has never not been the farthest left senator.

I mean, unless you believe she really made a progressive reverse heel turn. I just don’t think it was irl.

That's funny because all the progs felt like she was trying to shift to the center during the campaign to appease the mods. Examples are her incremental M4A plan or saying she's a proud capitalist. Like all the rich Cali white women (big Hillary folks) I know loved the crap out of her.

I think in general people don't care about detailed plans with the Presidency and she tried to make that her thing in addition to kind of always trying to adjust her message plus the whole dna test thing was pretty cringey

None of it explains why sys is the way that he is.

Well, maybe it was her mod heel turn that made me like her more then? I obviously had this turn out of order. I wonder why Bernie’s ancient ass gets the small number of prog votes out there. Or maybe they would have been hers if she had stayed far left?

Bernie got the votes because he ran for president the last time and people were more familiar with him.

I honestly think his sharing broad messaging rather than specific specific plans helped too. Warren was pretty well known but was also hurt by perception of female "electability" given Trump beating Hillary. (Which obviously has nothing to do with her policies or campaign strategy)

I thought Bern was going to keep this close, but he is melting down hard. The wheels have completely come off his Yugo. Joey’s gonna sweep up.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

i think his point is that his ever present villain, wall street, prefer biden.  he just stumbled into messaging that doesn't really work, at least outside of his narrow base, because many people, even those that don't have a stake in equities, view the market as some sort of marker of national economic prosperity.

and of course a lot of people do have a stake in the market, especially old people who already hate his ass.

Biden is just as likely to forget his own name on stage or have a stroke as any other outcome.

He really lucked out on not having to debate a thin field before Super Tuesday. Not that it would have mattered much

Now that it is just 2 the contrast are going to be pretty stark and he won’t be able to hide in a big pack.

I just heard a clip of him talking from 2016 and I would invite people to go seek out him talking extemporaneously or even like the VP debates from ‘12 and compare to what you see now. It is jarring.

i think i already posted it in this thread like six months ago, but i saw a clip of his from 1988 or so, and it was a sharp contrast.

a) sanders has already lost, and b) it doesn't matter at all.

He really lucked out on not having to debate a thin field before Super Tuesday. Not that it would have mattered much

everyone was talking about only three days between south carolina and super tuesday as a disadvantage, because he wouldn't have time to fundraise and advertise or really even campaign on the victory, but it was really the perfect amount of time.  just long enough for everyone to hear and process the news and coordinate consolidation but not enough time for voters to really have any second thoughts or the media to start up any sort of a backlash to the story.
