1st quarter fec numbers won't come out for another couple of weeks, but some campaigns are probably going to disclose partial info before then, so i want to get a few guesses in for candidates of interest. individual q1 donations only, not including any super pac or money transferred from previous campaigns.

where i include a range, i have more confidence. a single number less so.

sanders - 22-27 million
harris - 18
beto - 12-15
buttigieg - 8
warren - 6

I didn't read the whole thing. I thought the critiques of the lack of policy positions and Mayor Pete's bullshit reasons for not solidifying his positions were great. The article should have stopped there. The author's resentment of privilege has lead to blinding bias. The breakdown of Mayor Pete's assessment of Harvard Square is some of the dumbest and most intentionally inaccurate crap I've ever read. Yes, most of Cambridge is poor and filled with immigrants, but not Harvard Square, not close to Harvard Square. In fact you'd have to go out of your way to see that Cambridge if you're a Harvard student and just because Mayor Pete may or may not have that's not an indictment of his willingness to fight for those in that Cambridge. He very well might be a warmongering, fiscally moderate, wall street loving, DubyaO'Clinton clone but some of the reasoning laid out in that piece ain't it, chief.

I think they generally give their money to a remaining candidate if they drop out of the race. It will all eventually roll downhill to the nominee.

I have no real reason for thinking this, but I always sort of assumed that the end of a campaign is usually completely determined by the point at which the candidate runs out of money.
