I didn't know other coaches not liking oscar was a thing. Is that a thing?
It is if it fits your agenda.
Listen man, I'm not just making this crap up. One of my good buds in Manhattan, old townie, knows Lon, Brad, Huggy, and oddly enough Scott Drew on a personal level, and the consensus on oscar amongst coaches (according to these fellows) in the Big XII ranges from mild bemusement at his awkwardness to pretty intense dislike. He takes some pretty cheap shots in press conferences at times (I think unintentionally) and he acts like a petulant child when they lose a close game, and people don't like it, because most of them don't do those things, because as a coach, you're supposed to give other coaches the benefit of the doubt and act like a man when you lose. He can't do that, and (many) other coaches don't like him because of it. I really don't feel like this is super hard to believe. I know my buddy who smokes stogies on the golf course with some of these coaches is not a source I'm going to be citing in the newspaper or something, but it makes enough sense that I have no reason to doubt him.
