I’ve had real absinthe before
It's been legal in the US since 2007.

The real one has magic mushrooms in it(they drink it in EuroTrip). Had it in Europe.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The reason absinthe was said to cause hallucinations was not due to the wormwood (or magic mushrooms, as the astute and worldly TBT asserts in a very lol-worthy moment). It was from contamination due to unsanitary storage conditions. But I think we are all impressed that TBT has had "real" absinthe.

Actually it’s not from unsanitary conditions you dumbass.  It’s from a chemical called thujone which comes from the wormwood.  I’m not surprised in the least you are wrong you pompous prick.

https://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/edible-innovations/absinthe.htm

The levels of Thujone are widely accepted to be well below the level necessary to be symptomatic. And even if you ingested a toxic level, it would not be a pleasant experience. But before you got to that point, you would likely be dead from alcohol poisoning. Unsafe storage and toxic adulterants likely explain the exaggerated claims of hallucinations from 19th century commentators. Also, lol at you.

Instead of providing a link as supporting evidence you post conjecture. That just validated my point and shows how much of a pretentious response your post was to begin with. Maybe post about how the laws were applied to absinthe cases to make yourself feel better.

It was an embarrassing moment for you. My professional advice would be to acknowledge it quietly and move on. But since you haven't done that,

It’s all fun and games until you recall what someone said in a hotel room in a foreign country 13 years ago and all hell breaks loose

No, but at a Broadway play I did order a White Russian at intermission and the mother rough rider put Frangelico in it. I mean WTF!

I generally pride myself on being able to discern if I'm in a bar that is capable of making the drink I want.
Yes, it should usually be pretty obvious. Order canned beer at the Lou, wells (two ingredient drinks) at Kites, Kaws, etc. and leave the cocktails for places like Mae's or HiLo. Sometimes places will disappoint though. For example, I love the Green Lady Lounge but their cocktails are trash and they really shouldn't be.
a place in mhk that is pretty damn surprising/impressive for cocktails.. arrow coffee
