Ives Galarcep projected the January camp:

Quote from: Soccer By Ives
GOALKEEPERS — Nick Rimando, Sean Johnson, Tally Hall, Bill Hamid

DEFENDERS — Brad Evans, Chance Myers, Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez, Chris Schuler, Clarence Goodson, Seth Sinovic, Chris Klute

MIDFIELDERS — Landon Donovan, Graham Zusi, Benny Feilhaber, Mix Diskerud, Kyle Beckerman, Luis Gil, Dillon Powers, Ricardo Clark

FORWARDS — Clint Dempsey, Chris Wondolowski, C.J. Sapong, Robbie Findley

 :emawkid:

This makes me really happy. I think this would assume no off-season loans for Zusi, Dempsey, and Donovan.

I will really enjoy seeing Seth and Chance get their shots. Seth has a much better shot at making it imo. Chris Klute is another exciting young LB. January camps are always fun.

love January Camp. I think Seth really does have a shot at getting a call for a regular squad if he makes the most of this opportunity.

Same. He's more of a natural left back than anyone in the pool currently. Fabian is better, but he's right-footed and not a natural left back. Of course, that doesn't necessarily matter.

Best thing about Seth is he was a Revolution reject (when NE was rough ridin' terrible), came here and won two cups.

Also, not sure how many of you remember that during the Montreal expansion draft, he was left unprotected and Montreal drafted him. We had to trade Arnaud to get him back I believe.

Seth (mocat HS classmate) was like not even that good at soccer in high school. Walked on at Creighton and then blew up. He made some solid plays throughout the post-season this year. He is completely lost when he has the ball in the attacking third, but that's ok.

I don't think he's completely lost in the attacking third. Has some great crosses now and then.

Also, these:

Imo, this was the biggest goal of 2013 postseason. ^

i don't like that. the mercenary feel of it violates the extreme jingoism that is the essence of my being. soccer should change its coaching rules.

well nobody got it so i am going to just tell the whole story.

right after USA hired Jurgsy, keitz had some national soccer expert or whatever on BTL. they are talking about the hire and what it means for USMNT going forward, etc. then KK asks this guy if it was odd that they hired a non-American coach. "you know, shouldn't the coach be from the country he's coaching??" the expert paused for, like, an eternity, and then said (i'm paraphrasing): "you know, kevin, i have played soccer my whole life and covered international soccer for XX years, and i have never once thought that, or heard anyone else anywhere say or ask anything like that before in my entire life."
