we didn't get it in 1994, so why would we now (or in the near future)? because we have an older stadium now?
we have renovated Arrowhead since then, and Kansas City is by far one of the top five soccer cities in America now. We were one of the host cities in the 2022 bid process.
i did not know that. that's great.
these were the nine metros in 94:
boston
nyc
dc
detroit
chicago
orlando
dallas/la
san francisco (stanford)
without looking at anything from the 2022 bid process, who would get a repeat? i say
nyc
chicago
la
dc
who would get a slight relocation? i say
orlando --> miami
dallas --> houston or austin
who would get axed?
boston
detroit
SF (stanford)
so i would say there are 3 spots open.
seattle would get one
the other two, i would say along with KC you could consider
columbus @ tOSU
denver @ mile high
atlanta?
indianapolis? gross
i would hope whoever decides this stuff factors in how gross soccer looks in a dome
