You guy's train of thought and oscar's, let's just keep using these guys philosophy is bullshit because it essentially doesn't allow you to develop depth, Twellman mentions this. The only change in the front 6 from the 4-0 disaster against Costa Rica, that got Jurgen fired, was Nagbe for Jones. We did add Villafana and Ream to the back, guess that was good for two less CRC goals. We've been talking for years about how we still don't have an anchor for the center mids but keep calling the same players. Ike should have been called by now, sorry if that makes me a homer, but I'm right.
Johnson should have never been allowed on the squad again after what happened during the CONCACAF Cup. He's proven that he barely gives a crap, it's not like he's a dynamic presence or anything.
I was thinking about this earlier this evening and it's kind of a mia culpa. Jurgen did do a great job of expanding our pool of players and he wasn't afraid to bring other players in. My biggest problem with him is that he crap on the domestic league and didn't give those players a fair shot. Now we have this guy who uses players like a warm blankie he needs to help him feel safe.
I'm not at all worried about qualifying, we'll do that, but we're 9 months from Russia and our player pool is more shallow than it was in Brazil, and the team isn't any better, and that's inexcusable.
