Nigel Shadd Question
« on: January 23, 2018, 06:48:08 AM »
Does anyone know what's up with Nigel Shadd?  He seemed to be getting some minutes early in the season but has not played since the TTech game (Jan 6th) and before that the SE MO game on Dec 16th.  Is he hurt or in the dog house?  I would think that his length could help for a few minutes a game?  I am really glad to see that James Love is able to play again, but goodness he's racked up 6 fouls in 11 minutes of play to go along with 1 point, 0 boards, 0 blocks and 0 assists.

He's hurt. Out indefinitely.

How about Sallah?
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

He's just not very good. Whatever he did at Mount St Mary's isn't translating to this level.

Thanks for the info.  Sorry to hear that Shadd is hurt.  Hopefully it isn't one of KSU's nagging foot problem.

I would love to know more about Love. He's huge, but helpless. How?

If you take a big body like that and limit activity for much of 2 straight years because of foot injuries and its going to get really out of shape. Lowery talked like they really like him, but he just can't move on the floor right now.

Makes sense. Every time I see him on the floor I get excited, but then I remember how hurt he's been.

I like Shadd, especially on the rebounding side.  Defensively he is a huge liability right now.  He more than any of the other bigs reminds me of DJamer as a freshman.
