Pete, I listened to this pod about 3 weeks ago and thought it was very helpful. I guess Israel doesn't actually have a written constitution and that fact may be causing some complications. The right wing wants Parliament and the PM to have more ability to check the judiciary but it sounds like a lot of society has more trust in the judiciary as an institution and doesn't want it's power to be curtailed. Pretty interesting.
