That's the kind of borderline cheating I can really get behind!!

They've been working the NCAA hotline pretty hard . . . the alum has been declared a friend of the family by the NCAA.

nice.  no doubt bill self woulda cried foul.  you know, just to be a dick.

 :surprised:

And there you go.  We have writers and websites that get paid to cover K-State sports, but goEMAW.com just provided more insider information than any of them.

Wait, maybe not, let me check ksufans to see if Terry has anything up....

Nope, more than any of them.

Why would he regret picking up a PG?  That's really the only position we're unsure who will be playing next year.  He may not think Tavious can handle it and no one wants to rely on a freshamn to run the show, unless it's a John Wall type of talent.

Pullen? Russell? Spradling? Irving?

I think Pullen will play more at the 1 than we think. It's the only way he's getting into the NBA, so he'll be pushing for it hardcore.

I imagine Pullen will spend about half his minutes at the 1.  Russell hasn't shown us much of anything, Not sure if Tavious will ever be more than a role player and Sprads has never played a minute of college ball yet.  I've never seen Myles play before, Frank and staff have, so he must do something they like.  You don't really think the coaches just panicked and threw a scholarship at the first guy who came along, do you?  I'm sure they are aware of the fact that they could leave a spot open for next years class if they wanted to.

the alum is considered a friend of the family and will be paying Omari's way his first year at K-State.

why would maybe getting a sf for 2011-12 make the staff reevaluate their decision to take a pg for 2010-11?

K-State has a couple of wealthy alums in Conn.  who own investment firms (this is true, one if not both are on the Foundation President's Club), one of them knew the Lawrence family from when he was baby, so the alum is considered a friend of the family and will be paying Omari's way his first year at K-State.

That's how they're getting around the whole scholarship issue.

Great news.

JFC, this is the kind of crap I'm talking about fellas  :katpak:

Just 'cause of the scholarship situation. Glad it got figured out.

I'm proud as hell of my university right now fellas. This is how you win championships in this era of collegiate sports. These are the kind of moves the big boys are making every year.

Don't you see? Rome was not built in a day. This is K-State; GOD'S country; Where Hometown Hero's Become Legends.

It won't happen overnight, kids. But with each move like this we move one step farther away from doing things the right way, and one step closer to eliteness:pray:

Everytime someone ends a sentence with mane, I think of hustle and flow where Terrence Howard ends every fracking sentence with mane in that movie.   :bang:

We had been asked not to talk about this until some details were worked out but I was just told that since it's out we can confirm that D.Sutton is indeed transfering.
