So, with Neal Brown official at WVU, word is hes bringing Koenning along as DC. Whats he all about? I know he spent time at K State, thats about it.

This dweeb was the DC at Clemson when they played WVC in the Orange Bowl.  That was back when your team was the Big East Champions playing Clemson in an basketball type scoring game, due to the beyond shitty defense of Clemson.

Of couse, the worst came later when our smart staff hired this dweeb!  :bang:

Kliff supposedly to the Arizona Cardinals, which does seem like a step down from TTech in some ways.
:adios:

Lots of people are bagging on Lynn Swan for blocking People from interviewing him. Not sure what I’d do in that spot but it feels like blocking is a a bad long term strategy

I don't blame USC for blocking him.  Kliff JUST took the job there.  They'll also be behind the 8 ball in trying to replace him.

My guess is Kliff told him he was going to interview, even if he had to quit to do it.  Swann probably relented at that point realizing that his only chance to retain Kliff was to let him interview.

Kliff must have ventured off the USC grounds.

Blocking interviews is ridiculous and petty, although way less serious if interviewing for equal or lesser position against a regular opponent.

Getting fired from a low level HC P5 job to a NFL HC with 4 year contract seems like a huge step up.  Pretty impressive.

Sounds like the Jets job is Matt Rhule's to lose at this point.

More
Carl Pelini- Bowling Green
Tim Beck- Texas
Scotty Ohara- UTEP
Vic Koenning- Troy
Chris Cosh- Delaware
Jeff Schwinn- Washburn
Doug Grush- American River College
Charlie Coe- Missouri Baptist
Andy Ludwig
Rex Ryan

Come on with Andy Ludwig and Rex Ryan, they don't count man. I don't know who Charlie Coe, Doug Grush, and Scotty Ohara are, are they from Iowa? When did Tim Beck and Carl Pelini work for Bill?

Ludwig headed back to Utah.  Whittingham chews threw OCs like LittreLL does Copenhagen.  Utes have had 8 OCs since Ludwig left.

Quote
Miami announced that Kansas State RB coach Eric Hickson has been hired to serve in the same capacity.

Hickson spent one season at Kansas State, his alma mater, with the Wildcats ranking third in the Big 12 in rushing offense and RB Alex Barnes leading the conference in both rushing yards (1,355) and rushing touchdowns (12). Prior to the 2018 season Hickson spent three years at Akron, with the Zips appearing in two bowl games during that time span. Among the backs he'll work with next season is rising junior DeeJay Dallas, who rushed for 617 yards and six touchdowns in 2018.

I'm happy he landed on his feet!

Any idea if that means we don’t have to pay his buyout?

looks like we don’t have to pay a dime, that’s good news. Hope we use that to continue our recruiting efforts.

Our new DC is going to the Chicago Bears? That doesn't sound very cool.
