What is sad, is how bad the WR's played tonight.  Harris has two drops early that would have kept momentum going.  Pringle 3 drops and Heath with a critical drop late.  Pathetic effort by this group and they should be embarrassed.

With that said, games come down to making plays and difference can be so small.  Fumble TD called back, miss the FG, 6 clear drops, On Vandy's second TD, Walker is clearly held and should have been 3rd and 13.  If we force FG, then we can possibly tie at the end.  We are slow to react as coaches.  The option was there all night, we only run it twice. 

Gentleman and ladies, this will be a fight to get to 6, 7 or 8 wins.

We've got two wins already. Baylor, Tech, and our resident Conference USA team will all be W's. So we'll only need to knock off one of Texas, TCU, WV, OSU, Iowa State, or OU. I see between 1 and 3 wins coming from that group, so yes, we'll definitely go bowling. However, it won't be a good bowl.

That was a game where everything that could go wrong did.  The only thing that slightly concerns me going forward was the way Ertz reacted to the game.  There didn't seem to be much fire, except to tweet about a reporter accurately quoting him.  That seems to be his general personality (cool and measured), but I would've liked to see some passion.  It might've helped last night.  Ertz really hasn't performed well in close games.  He's had three chances to win/tie a game with the last drive (Osu, wv, bandy), and come up empty handed.  His close wins (isu, ut, tech, a&m) involved us holding on to a big lead at the end.
