Already looking ahead to my next one

This... I'm seriously considering coastal Mexico. Almost 0% chance of clouds since it's desert.

It's the day before my birthday so I may do something extra special.

If you work downtown, you didn't see totality, friend. Only a bunch of hayseeds saw it up north and even they didn't, because it was cloudy.  :th_twocents:

Yes, but I had coworkers take the day off (science geeks) and they drove north for this thing and said it was super cloudy and disappointing. There's no way either you got pure totality in mhk. We had the NASA channel on at work. The coolest thing I saw all day was in Oregon and Idaho where it went complete black for like a minute and 50 seconds. Just seems insane to travel from Australia, London, etc. to see 2 minutes of darkness. But hey, if that's your thing, so be it.

Yeah I can't imagine making a day of driving anywhere for 1pm darkness but whatever floats people's boats.

You saw 99.6% of "totality" with clouds in the way, I saw 99.2% "totality" with clear skies. I highly doubt it was that much of a game changer.  :dunno:

I was in Liberty and saw totality for about 2 minutes with no clouds.  I feel bad for folks who had to work.  I gave several of my employees some time off to check it out.  Maybe if you guys would beg harder...

Work let several ppl off for this thing. I just value my employer enough not to waste their time with such a silly event. It was pretty nice of them to allow ppl to leave if they wanted to or to chow down and party with them here at the office.
