It was the first post

Sorry you couldn't get off work bud, maybe in 7 years you will have some time built up to take off and see totality.  It's worth it.

poor wacks, missed out on what widely has been accepted as the worldwide event of the summer.  sorry about your lack of totality

I remember when I didn't go to the WC game against Oak and the next day I was acting like I wasn't super pissed I missed it.  It was hard to pretend but I said I saw it on tv and you know tv is actually better.

I'm sitting on 3 weeks of PTO.  :dubious: I rather make $ by hiring doctors vs watching the world go dark for 2 minutes. Stop taking the solar ellipse so seriously. Sheesh.

You're comparing one of the best Playoff games in Royals history to a solar eclipse?

You are literally going out of your way to say the coolest thing anybody saw in the totality range(when you didn't see it) wasn't a big deal.  Seems you are taking this too seriously(deep down you're mad you couldn't see it).  Also lol about taking an hour, maybe two, out of a random August Monday to go see this thing.

I agree with loling at lack of totality folks
If you work downtown, you didn't see totality, friend. Only a bunch of hayseeds saw it up north and even they didn't, because it was cloudy.  :th_twocents:
Oh we saw totality. Had to be north of like 10th.

Yep

What? My boss took me there for lunch my first day.

Wacky, do you work in an office building that looks directly towards my office? Are you looking down at me through the skylight?  :ohno:

Maybe we can share our collection together sometime. I might even let you touch my press pass to Game 5 Vs. the 'stros.

Do we really need another wacky meltdown thread?
The only ppl who are melting down, are the ppl who are pissed that other ppl weren't impressed.  :frown:

drove to Watkins Mill St park up north of town for some totality and the clouds parted about 20 minutes before the moment. one of the most amazing moments of my life. if you believe in a creator, it was an amazing display of his creation and beauty. if you don't believe in a creator, what a moment to marvel at the natural world. either way I hope all who experienced it were humbled by it in some way. I found it moving, humbling, beautiful, fun, kinda spooky, and exciting. what a day.
