Worked in the yard today.  Little bastards are biting my ankles around the sock line.  Just put on some wimp cream Renosweets gave.  I know by morning they are going to be in happyland gnawing g on the weasel and jewels.  I am not going to scratch these raw.  Help, suguested remedies needed

I've found heat application to be an effective method of dealing with insect bites and stings.    Truth be told a spoon doesn't work the best, though.  I have a tobacco pipe stamper that has a thick piece of metal with a small surface area, allowing you to deliver heat evenly to the bite.

The thinking is that the venom in the insects bite or sting breaks down at a relatively low heat.  The trade off is finding something hot enough that doesn't burn you.  I think its a pretty fine line.

everyone was talking about oak mites last year being really bad.  thank goodness i rarely go outside during the lazy, hazy, days of summertime and when i do, it's concrete only.
