It's more of a poors thing, but ok. You seem really motivated to relate the two to try and hurt feelings. :frown:

I guess I don't get any trump supporter whining non stop about the wwe.  Trump chose it as his medium to communicate with his base.  Be upset and hurt at trump's chosen medium

NPR tweeted the entire Declaration of Independence in 140-character chunks yesterday to celebrate Independence Day. But more than a few people thought that the tweets were a political stance against Donald Trump.
...
some Trump supporters were a bit confused yesterday, and saw phrases like “unworthy the Head of a civilized nation” as biased. They assumed that NPR was blasting the current president rather than King George in 1776.

That is very weird and somewhat frightening.

I think its incredibly sad how many of the evangelical community embraced Trump, and the comments in that article are troubling. However its not that weird for faith leaders to pray for someone IMO. It is weird to stop mid-prayer for a pic and a tweet tho.

This comment angers me.

"We similarly prayed for President Obama but it's different with President Trump," Moore said. "When we are praying for President Trump, we are praying within the context of a real relationship, of true friendship."

This one is LOL. I guess tweeting weird crap about the democrats and TV all day is above the fray.

"He was also in good spirits," Moore said. "He was as strong and focused as I have ever seen him. It was as if he was entirely above the fray."

Why would this make you sad?  Trump is the perfect example of the modern American Christian.  If course they/you embrace him.

listen man, if you want to have a discussion about faith in politics or where Evangelicals are in this country I'm all for it. but if that is going to begin with me having to try and convince you who I voted for/support/embrace then I'll probably pass on it.

What is there to discuss?  There is no mystery involved with any of this.

Ok I will change it to:

Why would this make you sad?  Trump is the perfect example of the modern American Christian.  If course they embrace him.

Trump literally is not Christian nor does he believe in god so...

The vast majority of Christians disagree with you on that one.  I'll take their word on it.

I mean, up until about 18 months ago he had never been to church and didn't believe in god.  Was also pro choice

It does kind of suck that the first non-Christian president we get is Donald Trump.
