In light of this new info, yes, it does.  What you said earlier makes them responsible 0% IMO.  If it was that soon, than yes, you should try to get a refund.

I thought I said all that right at the beginning.

They are definitely not apple certified, but they claim to have their own "guarantee." so we will see what that is worth.

This is wonderful news.  I, like you, am playing with house money with my 5s.  Just trying to hold out until the allegedly life changing glorious gift from god iPhone 8 this fall.

Good news.  I am not the biggest Apple fan in the world but one thing they did right was make those screens on the iPhones super simple to replace.  Next time you can probably order the screen (they generally come with the tools needed as well) and replace it yourself rather easily.
