My youngest is 17 and I dearly miss reading to my kids.

Enjoy the time.

If you have 12+ kids who are interested in history, Resistance and All the Light We Cannot See are two novels set during WW2. (All the Light is actually awesome for readers of any age.)

Manhattan called a "snow day" today. And by snow day I mean they have like 85 teachers out sick.

We got a rough ridin' foot of snow here today, but guess what? It was already a day off for the kids, so because of the snow I had to stay home and work within this 3 ring circus.

Guys...My kid had his first baseball practice on his first "good team" and it was awful. It was so freaking cold and he just couldn't shake it. Its his first year on the new team so we only know one of the coaches and a couple of the players. He was just frozen and couldn't even do basic drills or even make normal throws. The cold basically made him forget how to play baseball. The coaches were all cool about it and he def wasn't the only kid struggling, but he def struggled the most. I was just aching for him watching how miserable he was. I'm still sick to my stomach thinking about it. I know it will all be fine, but it was just brutal seeing him struggle so bad and want to just walk away. He didn't, which is good, but it was really rough.  :frown:

Sounds like a stud ball player in the making if he has a short memory.

I watched my nephew's 10ish-year-old baseball team play and having that short memory is particularly valuable as a kid.  So many kids would get a strike (or pitchers miss one) and just look dejected the rest of the at-bat.

lil WW took the biggest dump in the bath tonight. Like a man sized poop. Not the first time he's done it in the bath, but the other times were smaller and more manageable. At first it looked like he had a tail and it was hilarious. Then it just got worse. This was a goddamn disaster to clean up. ugh
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Yup and changing diapers, but I got over the diaper thing pretty quickly.
