can't think of anything more personal than a doctor stacking your insides on top of you and pulling out a baby

I should say, my wife DID NOT want c section (scared to death)

So natural was the best shot to avoid c section

Jesus, where the eff do you live? I'm not going to get hospitalized at this place and will ban my kids from moving there.

I was a bit strong here, but the doctors give way too many c sections, and these scheduled c sections are a blight on society.
Exactly

It’s like an assembly line in there. I give them credit. They got us thru pretty damn efficiently for a v-back a bit over a month ago. Even worth for the c-sections. Doc’s scheduling them months in advance just doesn’t sit well.

Not even if a mother previously had a c section? I believe that's common, but I'm only a cat daddy.

That makes sense. I might have been thinking more of induced labor to the doc doesn’t have to miss his golf outing on Saturday or whatever.

Hospital births seem to get less personal with time. Prob more efficient now tho

Yeah, the scheduled births are all about convenience and efficiency, absolutely nothing to do with the health of the mother or baby. Even if the mother had a c section, a VBAC should be the first option for her. Nothing good comes from cutting into someone's abdominal wall. I know more people who do scheduled births than just letting them happen because most people rightly trust their medical professional, but letting offspring drop when they are ready happens for all animals and damn near every single other country on the planet. The US healthcare system  :curse: :bang:

Thanks GoEMAWrs. Think this will be it, won't ever get to experience a 3rd trimester.  All is well, boy just needs to  learn to eat.

Insurance is good. Our first boy was born 10.5 weeks early, he is 2 now and doing great. So, this one at 32 seems like a walk in the park. We got to know all of the staff in NICU two years ago during an 8 week stay. Familiar faces should make this (hopefully) shorter much easier. It is harder to manage the work/hospital/home balance with a 2 year old.

Boy home from NICU after 3.5 weeks. Still 4 weeks premaure, been a rockstar. Toddler struggling with sharing the spotlight.

Is there an optimal length of time to wait after your first to have your 2nd kid? Or is it like a band aid and best to just rip it off?

I'd say about 10-12 years is optimal because you end up with an in-house babysitter

Awesome to hear you sire nothing but championship level premies BW.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

It really doesn't matter bro. Once you have one, two isn't a big deal. That jump from two to three tho :sdeek:

We had ours 18 months apart. It was a rough 1-2 years (did not help that the second was medically complex) but after that I think the closeness in age is more of a benefit, so I think I’m team bandaid. Also pregnancies get tougher once you hit a certain age so if you’re old balls I say just do it.

I'm pretty sure we're done. I'm old enough, she's close. The allure of having a girl after two boys is there though.
