Super cute MIR.  We raised 2 boys now expecting 2nd granddaughter in July.

They just melt me like their grandmother does.

Both Girls playing basketball right now.  We have basketball 4 days a week and I'm exhausted and not even coaching.

My wife coaches high school basketball and so it's pretty much just me and some times grandma doing the shuttling.

How do people do this????

Guise, I’m at the DMV helping my oldest get her learner’s permit. Kinda surreal. Thinking about how proud she makes me and what a fantastic human she is becoming (mostly thanks to her mom).

If you're at a place with snow, take her to a parking lot and let her play in it.  It will really help.

Mine are playing like every sport there is right now but are young so it isn't too terrible. I think one will prob drop off a bit in a couple of years, but my other will play as long as he is good enough. I love baseball, but I sometimes wake up in a sweat thinking of spending everyone second of every weekend at games. Like, I want them to do this stuff, but it is already a lot and only going to get worse. I like some down time on the weekends.

Youth sports is out of control, I think because it’s become big business.

Don't those lots have poles with cement bases?

Thanks SD

Not sure why, but both time changes totally eff with kids' sleep schedules. Anyone else with kiddos who are thrown off by the time change?

Don't have kids but hell it messes with mine so wouldn't surprise me if the youths have trouble with it too.

For me it's a total nature cues thing, the abrupt change really sucks, and unlike travel/jetlag where I think there is a sort of metal prep of "well I am going to have to deal with it, one way or another" here you're in your house, routine, etc, and the bam, it changes.

My kids are to the age where it is more difficult to notice, but also I am letting them stay up later because it is spring break.

My kids schedule DOES NOT change with the time change.

At least they’re old enough to get some food before mom and dad get up

Same. Nicname JR is a night owl and sleeper inner just like his old man.

I woke up at 9:17 am today (no alarm), he was still in bed (spring break).
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Don’t you go to bed at like 8:30 and wake up at 5 am? I can see how that would impact your sleep schedule.

My kids normally wake up between 7:00-7:30, but they aren’t allowed to get is until 8:30. Yesterday they slept until 8:30 & I was awake, so nothing changed to them. They just thought they just slept in. I changed the clocks after lunch when they weren’t paying attention. They probably laid in bed awake an extra 30 minutes last night, but the time they actually fall asleep is always changing anyway. They never noticed they lost an hour.
