Days 8-11 have kicked our ass. Little WW has turned really really gassy and his breastfeeding is slipping. I may need to head over to the big vasectomy thread. T's & P's needed.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

How so guys? Nicname jr, while great overall, is a terrible listener. Well, he's decent at the listening. It's the following instruction promptly and moving with purpose part he's very subpar at.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

She's a wonderful kid, outside of the house, her teachers love her and she's popular at school, definitely too popular. At home she's an bad person, classic middle kid, always picking fights, snitchin', talking back to mom.

Sounds like she'll be a wheeler and a dealer when she gets older, lol. a real corporate climber type.

My oldest is almost 11. That's bonkos. He wants to be an author and I think he will be. He reads like a man on a mission, he basically inhales books and is thoughtful and emotional. My 9 year old is sweet and tender, and IMO the best player on her soccer team. Some might say Harper is better and maybe they're right but I think my girl is better. My 4 year old is hilarious and super mischievous and I let her get away with crap because she charms me and I'm afraid she'll become a con artist. My 20 month old is obsessed with trucks and planes. This dude can hear a truck coming from so far away. He will watch the Chiefs with me sometimes and say "ball! ball! ball!" during the game. Adorbs.

Anyway, my IRL friend SD is right. Having kids is the best. MIR I love that you have a little toddler. What a blessing from God.

WW as soon as mrs BAC stopped giving in to what she was perceiving as societal pressure to breast feed, things got easier. i mean, don't get me wrong, we're 6 weeks in and our little peanut can be an absolute ghoul sometimes, but when we were like screw this and mrs BAC just pumped instead...the whole feeding routine got a zillion times less stressful.

Obviously pumping + bottle feeding is the maximum amount of work possible, but it was important to us to try to avoid formula so this is how we are able to feed her breastmilk w/o spending 18 hours out of the day going through the feeding ritual.  Plus since its bottles i can help out and feed her and let mrs BAC get some sleep.

1. Gas-X for babies (whatever it's called).
2. Mom calls all the shots on breastfeeding. Go along with whatever she wants no matter how insane.

Our first had colic and cried all the time so we gave her this stuff that looked like used motor oil but I think it was for gas and it seemed to help.

Now she's 12 and if only they had a medicine you could give them for sass mouth amirite??

I'd also like to state that the first 3 months of having a kid are the worst. Hang in there fellas.

I agree.

My kids can all get in and out of the car without help, feed themselves (even prepare some of their own food and some foods that I like), bathe themselves and dress themselves. It is a pretty great time to be a parent.
