Here's another kids disaster. I just got United status and an upgrade to first class. Would be great except I have my two kids with me and I'm not sure I can keep them alone them in coach. :frown:

Goddammit, I got upgraded on my second flight, too. I have never been upgraded before when I had status.

ok, I did a little seat map browsing, and I'm upgrading them to the front row of economy plus on the last flight (which is the long one). I was able to upgrade one of them for free. Still not sure about the first flight though, they told me I had to take care of it at the airport.

:fingerscrossed:

That is outstanding. No context needed for that to be one of the most awesome things of 2015.

These aren't your grandfathers nerf guns either.  It's like 700 fps hollow points being delivered from a 30 round mag.

I'm gonna hide this tape when I'm finished. If none of us make it, at least there'll be some kind of record. I've worn nothing but basketball shorts and sweatshirts for the last week 1/2.  Oldest kid has been awol most days and the youngest just crap and pisses herself all day.  Nighttime is a welcome relief.  Nobody... nobody trusts anybody now, and we're all very tired.

Nothing else I can do, just wait... B.F. MacReady, US outpost number 31.

I've been having fun with the kids.  Oldest kid spends most his time with the neighbors kid and the youngest is an infant so obvs she is not potty trained.  I have been lazy AF.

I guess this was supposed to be like the narrative parts of Apocalypse Now.

It was actually a tweaked version of Kurt Russells character in The Thing where he's talking to a tape recorder before the big confrontation.  We've been mostly at the house all this time Kurt is stuck in Antarctica US outpost 31.
