when is the optimal time to take these things to disney world for the first time? hopefully 20 months old.

They aren't going to even remember going if it is before 5 years old.
but then you can answer "You've already been there, when you were 20 months old" when they ask to go every day from the ages from 3 to 7.

I remember all kids of crap from when I was 1-5 years old.

steve dave, listen to me. Do not do this. You are going to look at all the awesome rides like the Tower of Terror and Aerosmith Roller Coaster and just not be able to ride them. Unless of course Mrs. sd wants to hold sdjr for an hour while you wait in line and then ride it. Which is totally possible. What I'm saying is it's going to be like looking at and smelling a juicy, perfectly grilled rare steak for hours and hours on end without being able to eat it. Just absolute torture. Feed sdjr tons of milk and vitamins so hopefully he meets the height requirement by age 5 and take him there then. You're welcome for the awesome advice, btw.

my friend had an internship in irvine and one of his co-interns used to work at disneyland (world?  i dunno, the one in ca) and i went to visit him for a week and she got us in free and gave us free stuff and never once talked about the gross stuff you guys are talking about.

Or steve dave, here's another idea: Use some of your points to take your pal Stevesie60 along with you. I do my own thing during the day while you and the fam do all the boring stuff. Then once you put them to bed you and I go on all the late night rides together and just party our collective ass off. Rinse, repeat. And need I remind you that rick daris alright basically bought me a vacation? (for being goEMAW's Poster of the Year two years in a row) What I'm saying is he's got a pretty good lead on being my favorite mod, but you could change that pretty easily by just shelling out a few measly airline points.

my first (ok maybe not very first, but one of the first) thought whenever i think of what it would be like to have kids is how many cats games i would end up having to miss because of them. maybe none, who knows, but i wonder.

It could - is it important to not seem deadbeat dad-ish? It's really a good question to ask yourself before you have kids.

yeah i mean, i'm not an idiot and would be a good dad, which i feel means me missing cats games especially because i don't live in manhattan.

If the weather is good, take the whole fam.  If the weather sucks, grab some bros and go the game.  Be prepared to let her go do what she wants a few days as well.  If future mrs tater isn't ok with that arrangement, then maybe she shouldn't be mrs tater.
