March Madness is best time to give birth right?
Right after is best.  Right before and you miss all the games.

Great point.  Unless you are a fan of the game in general, then still, see my above post.

Explain plz.

My first came in mid feb.  By Mid march she was caulically(sp?) and cried and had to be held basically all day 'er day.  Try enjoying games during that.

My second came in late Jan.  By mid March he was keeping us up so much at night that sitting down to watch a game put me to sleep.

Ok but like I'm not going to take paternity leave when the bun is still in the oven.

My first was born the first week of the NBA playoffs, taking the late night feeding while watching West Coast playoff games was great.

Don't know.  I wouldn't lie about a baby being born.  But it seems like if I have to be home on a weekday it'd be nice to have something to watch on TV.

Of course you wouldn't lie about a baby being born.  that is why they wouldn't check.  No one does.  Never heard of it.

Also, I mean, you would actually be having a baby a couple days later, right?

I don't think you need paperwork but someone is bound to ask to see the baby at some point

Yep, so a week later when Emo jr is born you return and show a bunch of pics without time stamps then take a few more days vacation.

Also, I took the first three days, went back for two, then took two more, went back for three or four, then took another two, etc.

Between mother-in-laws, sisters, etc, my wife had enough company where she didn't need me 100% of the time, yet I was there enough to help as much as needed and take in the experience.  Also let me drag out the process of being there more than just the initial week and because of that it helped my wife phase into what the next 6-8 weeks of maternity leave would be once the family and I were both back to work full time.

FWIW I don't have any intention of helping out during paternity leave.  Just gonna be watching the torn-a-ment and BBSing all day err day.

Then disregard and find a good bar and tell your wife you are at work.

Early March was great; watched Pullen and co get beat down @KU while in the hospital the night my kid was born; thought he might be bad luck, then got to see our luck change while watching the magical E8 run.  It was pretty special.

side note: considered naming him Sutton, but Sutton played like dogshit vs KU that night...and later transferred, so dodged a bullet there.

Sacrificed my body yesterday to protect my kid from my stupidity.  I totally underestimated the slickness if the side walk plus I was sporting dress shoes with zero tread.  So I'm carrying 15 mo old bf into a wedding cerimony and watching mrs. Bf and company casually walk up to the entrance whoosh! I felt one foot give way then the other.  I couldn't brace myself at all for risk of not cushioning little guy from the fall.  Flat on my back and little guy just looks at me like wtf weirdo?  Walked the last stretch of sidewalk like I was in a minefield.  I hurt today.   :frown:  go away winter  :frown:
