there is nothing unique or independent about loving oscar.  In fact, "going along" would be with the group think that he needs more time.  That is a very common opinion held by many older people.

I'm not a "oscar lover". I don't think in our current situation with the AD position, that we should send him off packing tho, when there's no legitimate suitors. Play out his contract and get the AD position situated first. Then kick his ass to the curb next year. I don't want a interim making the hire.

Also, the fact it took them so long to get behind Weber for a new year probably means Veatch looked through what was available and decided it was better to go one more year with Weber than take a sub-par candidate and continue the dunpster fire for even longer.

I have literally no clue as to what's going on with the AD search but I'd bet my first born that this has nothing to do with why oscar Weber is still our basketball coach.
