Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Well... we've decided on Palm Harbor, FL which is just north of St Petersburg.

Given the parameters, I would have chosen a nice area in the vicinity of either Tampa or Miami as well.

Excellent choice. I never think about living in that area but I love to vacation north of St Pete.

It is humid. But I can always walk down the street and jump into this alligator infested lake to cool off.

Yes, you can. The lake is called Lake Tarpon. It has skiing and what not.

I will not be skiing as the lake does have alligators.

Myrtle Beach or Jacksonville.

Both are dumps - don't move to either one of these places.
Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.

I start the new job June 1st and I have 6 months to be moved.  The places I can live are a little more restrictive than I first thought. I have to live within 90 miles of a company office. Offices are in Tampa, Tallahassee, Miami, Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Virginia Beach and Richmond. We want to be moved by the time school starts in the fall. We're going to go visit Tampa in June and Raleigh after that.

Greenville, SC (I lived here and miss it every day)
It's just outside the 90 miles rule you mentioned...but basically the midway point b/w Charlotte & Atlanta and a very easy drive to both cities and not a bad drive to the beach. Very close to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful drive up to the Asheville, NC area for a weekend getaway. Reasonable cost of living but some nice history and architecture. Wonderful community with plenty going on.

Charleston, SC

Asheville, NC

Roaring Gap, NC - hardly even a city...but if you can find a way to live here I recommend it.

St. Simon Island, GA

Savannah, GA

Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.
