stan weber just did a ten minutes semi-rant on 810 about our guy. a small recap:

said he thought it was a joke and was confused, never got a look at the shirt but heard the boos

said oscar is such a class act he didnt even seem to care

thinks outside of isu this year the bram has been rocking

gets that fans are mad but the kids hear the boos and its effecting their play

ranted some more but nothing really of note

Stan, Stan, Stan.......

So, the boos just kinda started this past week, right?  So if the boos are affecting the players, and we have lost 7 out of 9 games, what then has affected the players losing 6 out of 8?

What have you say now Stan?
Awaiting the inevitable KITN

The oscar had been mistreated campaign is turning it up to 11.

It's like most Kstate fans never learn.

he elaborated on that a bit as to say that the fans have had a weird energy when we get decent leads at home as if they know something is going to happen (it does) and the players feel that as well

Maybe oscar just needs to recruit tougher players  :dunno:

Stan knows better.

At some point, the fans simply take on the mentality of the program. The Brucecuses/ExBruces and comments that he consistently makes reveal what he is and its almost always about someone else. He never assignes direct or definitive blame (or takes responsibility himself), but its still nearly always someone else's "fault" when things aren't going well for a game or a stretch of games. Injuries, no back to back home games, players not running stuff right, you just have to "play basketball", etc. oscar and his years of coaching have given us plenty of information for what he is about.

I'm visualizing Oscar with big Gip on one side and Djamer on the other barnstormin through the Midwest

I'm so glad DJamer never made it high on my bball player crush list. What an idiot. KSU needs to start making our players pass their freshman and junior comp classes

I can't blame a player for defending their coach.

Yeah, I was surprised by Gip's take on that. The contrast with Jamar is interesting, I guess Gip did play for oscar 3 years though.

Yeah, I absolutely can't stand oscar, but DJamer doesn't bother me here.

Of course, but unfortunately a lot of people don't see it that way. I would think that most K-State fans would see the excuses though and I'm sort of surprised they don't.

i would say it more of a mentality than anything, as stan put it "if you had 100 coaches in a pod and had to guess who is the nicest oscar would be number 1"

problem is we went from Doom and JYC with a rampant wild man as a coach to a apologist that had one year of success. its insane why it took so long for people to catch on to the fact that most nice guys dont win

The morning show hosts kept bringing it up to Stan and Stan acted like he had no clue what happened. He was still dumbfounded to this date on what occurred. Just said he thought oscar handled it well.

I think he just doesn't recruit well enough to run the system he wasn't to run. Who cares if he's nice? Brad Stevens and Steve Kerr are two of the most pleasant and charming men on the planet.
