Such a great place.

Will definitely go back soon. Barely scratched the surface there.

I wear my old air max running shoes that already have a rip in the fabric part.

I got these last spring and used them for a hike and for walking around the city when it's extra rainy:

I didn't like them that much on the hike; didn't feel supportive enough.

Got these last night for like $60 at the nike outlet store and they seem pretty good.  A splash of EMAW color too.  I can wear them around normal places without being to granola-y and break them in before going back out in nature.

Did the Manitou Incline this past July. Pretty good challenge. Close to 2000' elevation gain over 1 mile. 41% average grade.

What's good goEMAW? I'm planning a hiking trip in Yellowstone before school starts. Needing good recommendations for hiking bags preferably under 150 bucks and ones with hiking reservoirs! TIA!

This one is marked down and I'm not sure I could find a better value.

In my opinion backpacks all come down to the suspension system, and evaluating that is about as subjective as it gets.

That said, if I was in the enviable position of shopping for a new backpack, I would take a hard look at these hot Mystery Ranch deals: https://www.sierra.com/backpacks-duffels-and-dry-bags~d~9319/mystery-ranch~b~37083/

This seems like an exceptional steal depending on your measurements:

This is the question that needs to be answered.  You sure as hell don’t need or want a 50 or 70 L pack for a day hike or overnight.

I hope no one would go out and spend $150 on a pack for a day hike.

If you're doing a multi-day hike, go to a store and try them on.
