oscar is here:
2016-17: 2.05 mil
2017-18: 2.15 mil
2018-19: 2.25 mil

That's about right for now.

Get third in this league and make the Sweet 16 this year, then we can talk about extensions. (serious)

I would say that's fair.  I don't think he needs a raise as much as an extension.  If we don't do it soon it's going to cost us a lot more the keep him.

Are you trolling?

I am not.  He's a good coach.  I have seen enough in the improvement and play of this team, not to mention schemes and play calls to support this stance.

How do you feel about Andy Reid Francis?

Stance on time outs and what not?

Not sure of the correlation between the two.  What's your point?

Even if we win the post season big 12 tournament and make the sweet 16 you still don't throw more money at him, it's completely unnecessary, you'd be bidding against yourself.

FWIW, I don't advocate more money for a successful season, but there is logic in adding years to the contract. If you are comfortable keeping a guy, you probably don't want him to hang with 1 or 2 years remaining.

I would bet a lot of money that if oscar is in the NCAAT (round of 64 not the play in game) he gets a one year extension.

He'll either get fired or get two or three years, no matter what happens, one makes no sense.

He needs to have two good years in a row before upping his salary.  He looks like he has a good recruiting class stated, but he has to quit losing players and.getting fragile kids.

Illinois has a 23-38 conference record since oscar was let go.  I mean it's possible this team goes 11-7 in the conference this season but are you to tell me that anyone with any sort of intelligence gives this "cycle" nonsense any validation?

He has already received two separate one year extensions.

Yes, but that was with more than two years remaining, those him to four or five years. Adding one year to get to three years is essentially a one year deal.
