And the investigation is nowhere near over. They’ve got concrete evidence on the most likely person to work with the Russians and now they’re going to try to get him to flip by offering a deal.

Though I guess breitbart or whatever probably hasn't reported anything on this investigation so maybe this really is the first he's hearing about any of this

Someone who worked as the campaign manager for the current president is bring brought up for conspiracy against the US and kdub response is "meh"?

Where the eff did we go so off the rails here? Even if it wasn't a charge related to his responsibilities with the campaign...having that dude in your henhouse doesn't seem like a positive.

Wow.

Def not a positive. But do these charges have anything to do with the campaign? That's a serious question - I don't know. But it seems like a relevant question. The rumor I heard is that thisball pertains to some business deals and lobbying he did years ago. It's bizarre to me that Mueller was told to investigate one specific thing and this is the best his team of prosecutors, with unlimited taxpayer resources, could muster. Or is it? Maybe more coming down the pike? But if so why start here?
At the very minimum it proves what Trump haters said...he hired crap people to do important jobs. It is a black mark on his judge of character and draining the swamp meme.

Even the appearance of defending it is either a) good gEing or b) foolish

Is the New York Times likewise ignorant?

Quote
The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, was assigned in May to investigate whether anyone close to Mr. Trump participated in a Russian government effort to influence last year’s presidential election. Monday’s indictments indicate that Mr. Mueller has taken an expansive view of his mandate.

The indictment of Mr. Manafort and Mr. Gates makes no mention of Mr. Trump or election meddling. Instead, it describes in granular detail Mr. Manafort’s lobbying work in Ukraine and what prosecutors said was a scheme to hide that money from tax collectors and the public. The authorities said Mr. Manafort laundered more than $18 million.

“Manafort used his hidden overseas wealth to enjoy a lavish lifestyle in the United States without paying taxes on that income,” the indictment reads.

Yeah, but that's a pretty meager "at minimum" right? I mean really? I'm not defending it. I'm asking what this has to do with Russian COLUSION to steal the election - which is what liberals have been screaming about for a year. The answer appears to be bupkus.

Just looking forward to the Lib7 meltdown (that will be over explained as not being a meltdown) if this turns out to be nothing close to your desire to see Hillary installed as President.

I have really enjoyed the Dax pivot the last 2 or so months.  Early on it was “everybody is innocent” and this was just a giant witch hunt.

Then Dax said that maybe there would be people that would get in trouble and when it happened it would be old news.

Then Dax got really quiet as KSUW proved how much he loves Trump and Dax tried to plan his next pivot.

Now it’s “everyone probably isn’t innocent, but I already knew that, but it’s not that bad”.

One constant through all of this and something Dax has never pivoted from is how every single thing is Hillary’s fault in one way or another.

Ok - so you think there will be more. Fair enough. I'm guessing given Mueller's "expansive view" of his mandate (NYT's words) you're probably right. I guess we wait and see. But I think you're implicitly acknowledging that so far the great "Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election" mantra has not materialized.
