“I don’t know what the technical was called for. I thought that The Flush got fouled, and I raised up my hands. Maybe that was a little out there on the court, but it’s the end of the game. It’s emotional. I don’t cuss. I don’t cuss at the officials. I treat them right. Everyone tells me that I am professional, but I don’t know if that does any good. Maybe I should try the other way.”

the officials walk on oscar because he lets them. no way that call is made against huggins/martin/self/ or any other coach in the universe

What a dumb statement to make.  That call isn't made ever not because of the coach but because it's a dumb call at that juncture of the game.  Period.

"Everyone tells me that I am professional..."

That statement alone should tell anyone all you need to know about oscar Weber.

Can you imagine Self, Frank, or Huggins - hell ANY other P5-quality coach make that statement?

Yes, because it's probably true.

This would have been a mute point if the RedTick Raiders had.stole the ball.  Who was handling the.ball when it was.stolen.with less than a minute?  Was the right person handling the ball?  It.seems like we missed a.lot of free throws, misses that came back to haunt.

Yes, because it's probably true.

If it were true, he wouldn't have made that statement. The self-doubt eating at oscar Weber is staggering for a coach in his position.

What does one have to do with another?  Anyone that thinks riding the officials = getting calls is ridiculous.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "working the officials?" It is something good coaches do.

I think "working the officials" is only effective up to a certain point.  Once that is crossed, I would say it can become detrimental and result in "eff that guy" calls.

With that being said, I think coaches still need to show their displeasure with bullshit calls.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "working the officials?" It is something good all coaches do.  Some just aren't as demonstrative and make a public scene so as to garner all attention upon themselves.

Fixed it for you.

you never see a t called at that time of the game, so i understand the kstate fans negative reaction, but if the refs had warned him about it earlier and it was called for being on the court, i definitely support them calling it.  wish they'd call these rough ridin' creeper coaches more (ever).

and it's not a dumb call.  it's the right call.  you might not agree with it but igaf.  the dude lounges around the court during game play like he's shopping for papayas at hy-vee.

if anything, the call is long overdue.

1/3/17: It doesn't matter that it's the end of the game, that's a blatant violation of the rules of basketball!

1/10/17: It doesn't matter that it was a blatant violation of the rules of basketball, you don't make that call at the end of the game!
