oscar is going to do enough (maybe more) to keep a lot of fans (most?) interested in following the Cats this year and going forward. He is what we always knew him to be, not terrible like Wooly or even Asbury, but certainly not great or even to the level of Frank at K-State.

His biggest problem is the bland personality, seeming to not take responsibility when things go south, and not being an engaging guy. But overall, he's not a terrible or great coach, the type that most P5 schools outside the blue bloods keep around, probably longer than they should.

Its possible that the next three years would put him above Frank. Might not be likely but possible.

No.

Still think we need to LOCK HIM UP and get that buyout to where other schools don't even think about sniffing around the fOOD.

This is where oscar and K-State are good for one another, as long as their relationship is amicable. No one is really going to come looking for oscar no matter how much success he has at this point, and oscar probably isn't looking to go anywhere, no matter what amount of success he has.

K-State can just take the sliding scale contract (adding 100K per year) as it is and add years to it without blowing up and offering more money.

I'm sure you don't care but when you do this it seems like you think you're above everything

A less optimistic fan may say that having a coach nobody wants is a bad thing.

But seriously, in the modern era of college basketball, oscar is soon to be behind only Jack in years and wins at KSU.

That has to count for something, especially in this age of hot potato coaching.

And he might be able to pass Tex and Jack G.
