Are there any OOC games that should get me juiced or do I need to wait until conference games start?

outside of Maryland, no. This non-con was put together in hopes to win almost every single game and hope that the fanbase is dumb enough not to get on the internet and see it isn't top 200 in non-con SOS

Its easy to not like it because it might save oscar, but its a very smart OOC schedule. There are enough games against teams from decent leagues and decent low/mid majors that the RPI will probably be decent coming from it. If oscar can manage a 12-0 or 11-1 OOC and go .500 in the league he'll have a tournament team and likely be here until he retires.

Silly. The Barclay and SEC games weren't directly scheduled by the staff and that is big piece why the schedule is so weak. The Wazzu game is on oscar and John. But I don't think any thing about this year schedule differs that much from oscar has done in the past here.

what hurts the most is we don't have anyone who matches up with NC, and A&M ended up being better than what I guess Maryland will end up being this year.

That's true. And it doesn't look like any of the others are going to have a much improved season getting them into the top 100 based on results so far.

Granted teams may improve, but sans Maryland, using last year's RPIs, Green Bay was the only team in the Top 120 at 115, and if the Big 12 is as down as bad as some are talking like it may be, 9-9 may have us on the wrong side of the bubble.

Yeah, even being semi-optimistic, its tough to find 9 wins. That assumes some road wins which I don't see happening often.

Can't drop games at home. The conference is just brutal to win on the road. The lower half of the conferences projects to better than last year. OU went to the final four last year and won four conference road games. Top 50 kenpom road wins are just really hard to come by.

Kenpom has us projected at 8-10 with a home lost to Kansas. That is just logical as eff. TCU might start to struggle, Their defense appears to be pretty bad and that is something Dixon can struggle with. He is actually a pretty good offensive coach.

I am assuming we will be playing Maryland, and then we will learn about this team.  The lightweight schedule not all bad for a relatively young squad.  Westicles and DJamer are the only veterans with 2 years of experience.  We are starting 3 sophomores.  The people off the bench are newbies or have less than 2'years of experience.  If we were playing a tough schedule we would lose confidence.  Oscar cannot motivate confidence.
