My son is a young aspiring engineer and he and his pals love Musk. As a result I have listened to a lot of Musk interviews, and the long from interviews are particularly good…the 2 - 3 Lex Friedman interviews.

I admit that Musk is creating things that will benefit this world long after he is gone, but I also acknowledge that Musk loves humanity but probably hates humans.

He also might just be a rough ridin' weirdo who invents new car features but can't do things like change his oil or drive a stick shift and also is super horny for a letter from the English alphabet and I have to say I find it strange because no letter should turn ANYONE on.

So I very much agree he hates humans because if he felt even neutral on humans he would never put them through something like having to see him as much as we do.

Elon is a nut with little human empathy, no question. He is also uniquely capable of driving world changing tech to market. Reusable rockets, global satellite arrays, brain implants, commercially viable electric cars, and highly likely to launch robots and self driving tech in the future. I will not bet against him on tech.

These things are a really big deal and wonderful for humanity. You can be both a monster and a savior.

I don’t think he can on a whim, now that the convention is over. I am sure, if he did it, it would be done in such a way where JD was made to bow out as if it was his own decision, but good luck with that.

Any politician who is VP to an old and very out of shape old man has had more than one thought/hope about being one heartbeat away.

Also, to be real, JD very much holds up a large part of the conservative coalition, imo.
