Will crash the grid hard as all their big beautiful gas plants are still years from coming online (and most turbine suppliers are bought out completely for years). You can put up solar like it's going out of style to at least get some something. It's all stupid.

Our energy creation trajectory is currently no where close to meeting the demand that's starring us right in the face.

All smart and intelligent people understand this (so that of course excludes idiots like @Stupid Fitz).

Even worse - #blueanon SFB's want to wreck thousands upon thousands of acres of land with solar panels and the like.

It there is one thing we have, it's land.  Also, the idea of this admin giving one crap about wrecking land is max LOL.

There's more than ample information out there discussing how they're building solar farms on fertile farm land.

I just read and article where a not very smart farmer didn't realize that his lease of 1200 allowed the solar company to overlay 1,200 acres of great farm land with a sand that will ensure the land never grows another thing without extensive rework.

But at the core of the issue is the fact that we do not currently have enough power production to meet our demand.

So if you want to believe that renewables are going to meet that demand - I'll just step aside and let your dipshittery shine through on this blog.

Yep, and it's such an idiotic talking point. Its pretty cool that giant machines that drill into the earth and inject chemicals into the ground to pull out millions of gallons of a substance that then  goes to a different spot via trucks and pipes and then goes to different spots via trucks and pipes and is then burned into the air totally doesn't take up or harm any land.

I would respect them much more if they would just say, "oil companies give us more money".

Post above is from someone who clearly doesn't understand the copious level of natural resources it takes to produce the mechanisms of "green energy" production platforms.

We won't even get into the aftermath of when thousands, collectively millions of solar panels and wind turbines reach the end of their useful life and what some people are doing with them (or not doing with them) when that happens now.

Let's just say . . . not real green . . .

Keep in mind, these are the same people who think its perfectly acceptable to take down thousands upon thousands of acres of forests - and place "green energy" production in place of the trees that once stood there (as I have documented on this blog on multiple occasions)

I still can't believe this board blew up a nice thing over politics. Astonishing what Trump has done to fellow cats who use to literally roast people IRL all the time on here, for 30 clicks a day.

Go woke, go broke.

You guys aren’t going to believe me this but….

Text of the US-EU trade deal is out: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/08/joint-statement-on-a-united-states-european-union-framework-on-an-agreement-on-reciprocal-fair-and-balanced-trade/

The most important thing is what's not there. Trump had boasted "They gave me $600 billion, and that’s a gift." But guess what? They didn't. He didn't get a penny.
