I don't know man, you were the one last week saying how refreshing it is that trump fires incompetent people like Hegseth  :dunno:

I don't think Pete was the one who invited the reporter into Signal.

Pete's issue - refocusing the DOD and #blueanon is big mad that Pete's not down with #blueanon's DOD social agenda.  I also suspect there's components of neocondom that are mad that we aren't already bombing Iran.

Pete's predecessor oversaw the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan where in their brilliance - they even left things that could have been fueled up and flown out of the country. Things that cost tens of millions of dollars each.  Let alone such poor planning that it got US service members killed.  Then of course who knew if the guy was out golfing or in ICU  :dunno:

If you're talking about Pete's wife, the audience is reminded that Hunter Biden and Dr. Jill Biden by numerous accounts spoke for Pedo Pete and we know that Dr. Jill ran cabinet meetings among many many other things.

Tony Blinks - couldn't negotiate selling water to people in a desert and Jake Sullivan was a glorified piss boy. In Blinks defense - he was mainly just an errand boy for the neocons and he was always having to dive behind the door in AF1 out of embarrassment as Joe meandered and hallucinated in front of the media.

Imagine melting down about Signal which has been used by multiple executive branches over the years .

Now imagine a triceratops made entirely out of lightning
#blueanongE is absolutely assassinating all phases of melting down about everything and setting a whole new standard of drama Queen.

We are exiting a presidency where the wife and crackhead son of the POTUS were actively engaged in running the White House and as the Axios dude said the other night . . . Oops-sorry we were such willing participants in one of the greatest coverups in US history.

Now we’ve got Reuters taking pictures of phones.

LMAO

I can assure all viewers of this blog that if the leadership of NPR were openly pro Trump.  #blueanon/#blueanongE would be on the streets demanding their removal and if not removed - demanding that NPR be defunded.

Instead current NPR leadership has historically been very hyperpartisan and very anti current administration. To throw a cherry on top . . .the current leader told the entire world that in her mind. The truth gets in the way of a good story and the truth, well, it's just kind of a pain in the ass to have to deal with.

We support hyperpartisan publicly funded organization leadership . . . as long as we agree with them (#bluenaon/#blueanongE)

This information has been posted on this blog multiple times.  Very weird that StalkerBot just chose to ignore it . . .well, wait, StalkerBot is an absolute titan at being purposely obtuse.

Perhaps for our most tricky disagreements, seeking the truth and seeking to convince others of the truth might not be the right place to start. In fact, our reverence for the truth might be a distraction that’s getting in the way of finding common ground and getting things done.

Wait, even without any additional context that's very different than that you alleged.

As I said, a titan at being purposely obtuse.

Whatever adjectives you want to use . . . that is a leader of a publicly funded entity with a substantial news presence that considers the truth to be a bad place to start and a distraction from just telling a good story.

Dax, this is another one of those times where you're going to need to choose if you're too stupid to understand what's being said or you're pretending to not understand. This will dictate my response.

Stalkerbot . . . your whole "you just don't get it" shtick is just so sad and tired at this point. Well, it was a sad and tired a long time ago, now it's just pathetic.

This is what you do when you're embarrassed and you're embarrassed a lot

There is no ambiguity here . . .

Truth is a bad place to start

Truth is a distraction

Truth gets in the way of getting things done

This is the last I am going to say on this topic because smart people all recognize that this is the tact Stalkerbot takes when he's embarrassed and he didn't really believe someone said those things.

I'll break it down again:

seeking the truth and seeking to convince others of the truth might not be the right place to start  This is a leader of a news organization that receives public funds telling us that the truth is not the best place to start

In fact, our reverence for the truth might be a distraction  This is the leader of a publicly funded enttity that has a substantial news operation telling us that truth is a distraction

She was also a point person on propagating a massive disinformation campaign against the truth about the Grifters Biden:

Concerning the Hunter Biden laptop:  'We don't want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don't want to waste the listeners' and readers' time on stories that are just pure distractions.'

Hammering home the reality that . . . the truth is just a distraction in her world.

So I watched the 15 minute TED talk where the anti-truth statement was made. It turns out she was not saying that falsehoods or misinformation is okay.

She was saying, as the former Wiki-media CEO, that if you want to get people to work together to solve a particular problem (say on contentious Wikipedia articles) that trying to get people to agree on a framework that all of the participants agree on is not the best way to go. Instead the way forward, according to her talk, is to get people to agree on a "minimum viable truth" in order to complete the task.

She talked about how this is the mechanism by which Wikipedia contributors with different core beliefs are able to work together to generate articles that they are all relatively happy with.

You know, pretty horrible stuff.

full context of her response

KATHERINE MAHER: What about the hard things? The places where we are prime to disagreements? Say politics and religion. As it turns out, not only does Wikipedia's model work there, it actually works really well. Because in our normal lives, these contentioius conversations tend to erupt over disagreement over what the truth actually is. But the people who write these articles are not focused on the truth, they're focused on something else, which is the best of what we can know right now. After seven years of working with these brilliant folks, I've come to believe they are on to something.

Perhaps, on our most tricky disagreements, seeking the truth and seeking to convince others of the truth might not be the right place to start.

In fact, our reverence for the truth might be a distraction that is getting in the way of finding common ground and getting things done.

That is not to say that the truth doesn't exist or to say that the truth isn't important. Clearly the search for the truth has led us to do great things, to learn great things, but I think if I were to really ask you to think about this, one thing you would acknowledge is one reason we have such glorious chronicles to the human experience and all forms of culture is because we acknowledge there are many different truths.

I'm certain that the truth exists for you. And probably for the person sitting next to you. But this may not be the same truth. That is because the truth of the matter is very often for many people what happens when we merge facts about the world with our beliefs about the world. So we all have different truths. They are based on things like where we come from, how we were raised, and how other people perceive us.
