I'll be buying in 2020 or 2024 dollars, so you're basically getting built-in odds.

We can select sd as our neutral arbitrator to rule on the definition of peaceful. Or perhaps sd plus a panel of 2 advisors, one chosen by each of us.

It is now official.

 ok

If you don’t have a full BTC now, it will be infeasible to buy one then.

You just let me worry about that. But if that's a sticking point, I will buy one and hold it in escrow.

Has there been an example of power not be transferred peacefully in the usa?  It sounds fun but I don't even know what that looks like.

No, but who else has had this kind of presidency?  Who has had the reach and the narcissism that Trump has?  He’s completely unique in history so far.

does it count as peaceful if he has to be physically removed from the oval office but nobody gets killed?

You know, I was also pretty rough ridin' surprised at the number of republicans who did a complete 180 on policies just to line up with Trump after the last election.  SD called it though, so would be interested to hear his thoughts on what would happen if Trump lost in 2020.

Yeah, worse than the situation in which Trump unilaterally decides that he needs to stay in office longer is the one in which Republicans go along with him. Many versions of this scenario could be considered peaceful.

Thankfully, contested elections never happen. And Trump is not the sort of guy to contest an election.

If he wins and 4 years after that re-election there won’t be a peaceful transition of power.

If he loses re-election there either won’t be a peaceful transition of power, or be won’t accept defeat.

Either way, I think there’s gonna be a constitutional crisis and it will be the first time in US history a sitting president doesn’t surrender the office willingly.

This from the boards biggest Hillary Clinton Fan.  Just a reminder, the mega corrupt Hillary Clinton and her millions upon millions strong facilitators reminded us again and again that to challenge the results of an election was wholly UnAmerican.

The Big Tuck, the mega corrupt Hillary Clinton and the rest of the facilitators are still melting down about the election over 2 years later and have do nothing but try and delegitimize the current administration.

She’s literally still out on the speaking circuit to this day saying the election was stolen from her.
