It's weird that Ben Carson works in HUD and not in a position like that.

I don't think surgeons are percolating particularly versed in epidemiology, but yeah he'd still be a better fit there. In the eyes of this administration the black guy is best suited to handle public housing.

Ben Carson should have rejected the job because he needed to stand on the pinnacle of first world problems and renounce "only" being made Director of HUD.

He should have rejected the job because he is grossly unqualified for it. That applies to most political appointees at every level of government, though.

Fantastic.  Thanks for posting super obsessed RUIN Steve Dave.

Doesn't there have to be something between "RUIN" and "steve dave?"  I like the idea of "resident useful idiot nation resident steve dave," with his dual residency in both gE and UIN.

I think if you're on gE and using a gE specific acronym, resident gE is implied. So, rather than using 'UIN' to denote global useful idiot nation, it should actually denote gE useful idiot nation. Then, if you want to talk about global useful idiot nation, you could use 'NRUIN' for non-resident useful idiot nation. (I'd worry about using 'GUIN' for global useful idiot nation because it might be confused for gE useful idiot nation.)

So, from now on, UIN means gE useful idiot nation and NRUIN means global (or non-resident) useful idiot nation.

Didn't Fatty McBaconpants recently get chided for doing a little cheating while coming within a couple of strokes of the club champion at Mar Lago?

Just some weird takes from RUIN.

Which really shouldn't be surprising given the weirdos that comprise RUIN

Defunded the CDC?   So the CDC doesn't exist anymore?

Let's see here, it looks like less than a month ago 3 MD's and a DVM from the CDC gave a presentation and interim guidance to clinicians all across the U.S. in regards to the Coronavirus.  Just two days before that an MD and Epidemiologist from the CDC gave a mid flu season interim guidance update to clinicians across the country,  Just before the holidays an update from the CDC on Ebola and on and on and on . .

Let's see CDC Covid Incident Management System established on 1/7/2020, unprecedented steps in restriction of travel and testing off boarding travelers from infected locations started on 2/2/20, level 3 travel guidance issued by the CDC for China, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Italy, Hong Kong.    Interim Health Guidance alert issued on 2/1 to all state and local healthcare agencies.  Management of people at risk of exposure alert and update issued on 2/3 by the CDC.    Numerous multi-disciplinary CDC teams dispatched to various locales across the country to assist local and state officials.   CDC has Gene Sequenced all the known cases in the U.S. and uploaded to the GeneBank.    CDC has cultured the virus and sent to the NIH BFI lab and made available to the entirety of the medical community across the globe . . .

So the point you are trying to make is....? They are doing their job reporting of what their job is? The rich make a lot more money now because we cut scientist jobs, so that’s a good thing? It’s good because we are now way less prepared to handle an epidemic like this. So in the end it’s good. :Woot:
