I have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to lose to Iowa State. In which case, the Texas game certainly is boom or bust.

Is it bad I'm hoping for some off-season coaching search/goEMAW enjoyment?

I know it will end terrible and we'll have a total meltdown on here, but enjoy the process while you can before inevitable disaster, right?

These rudderless, shitty recruiting, horrible QB developing seasons are really starting to rough ridin' suck.  We aren't lucking into another Klein.  We aren't getting another Daniel Thomas. There won't be another Lockett gift wrapped until Bill is 84.  I don't care how many wins we get a season.  The horrible blowing of games like WVU and TCU suck.  We're coasting along so a 77 year old ego maniac can "have a positive impact on youngsters lives".  I have zero hope for a Big12 championship in the future.  We aren't building towards anything.  This blows.

well said

This. I never understood the okayness with losing and being average. Hate the whole, "were K-State, 10 win seasons every 4-5 years should be our goal," bullshit.

I know Venables is a dream hire, but would gladly take Fleck who I believe could turn this rough ridin' thing around.

We definitely should expect 9 wins every year at a minimum.

I don't think an 8 win season is sucking.
the program, independent of some miracle and landing an 8 win season, is not healthy.  we have coaching issues that are apparent even for a football noob like myself.  recruiting, play calling, player minutes, there are issues in a myriad of areas

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Come on now, everybody knows we're building for 2017.   Everybody knows that in 2017 we'll be building for 2018.

Bill's retirement date this time around won't have anything to do with the shame of losing, in my opinion.

With Currie apparently conducting himself like some sort of feces throwing baboon at these recurring AD job interviews, it would seem that half of Bill's purpose in life, namely to outlast Currie and somehow convince the next AD to allow Sean to takeover, is in jeopardy.  I suspect Bill has started to accept that he won't outlast Currie.

The other half of Bill's purpose, the 200th win, will take another year.  Which is very achievable.  So, I expect him to stay another year.

Will the 200th be enough to satisfy Bill?  I really don't know.

We built him a statue. He'll stay as long as he wants. Probably die on the sidelines. We'll bury him under the NEZ.

They have an entire "pet cemetery" at Kyle Field... Perhaps we could keep all of our coaches until death moving forward and simply "one up" that concept.

We should Han Solo carbon freeze him and roll him out to the sideline every game. Our idiot fanbase would rather do that than hire a new coach.

Well said. This whole coaching staff needs to go away. I expect 9 -10 win seasons from our program and we are not trending in that direction and show no signs of turning things around.

If it was anyone else running this program instead of Snyder V2.0, their name would be on the short list to be replaced after this season. However, since Bill is still riding his own coat tails from the work he performed in the 90's, here we are.

I just threw-up in my mouth at the thought of Oscar being buried there.  :Yuck:

2012 was a great year. In fact, it was such a good year that we should be seeing the recruiting results of that year manifesting on the field. Instead...

Good luck with that

Why is that an unreasonable goal for our program? If we don't schedule top ten teams or FCS national champions for our season openers, we get 3 OOC wins. Then you beat half the teams in the conference, and win your bowl game, that gets you to 9. A better year sees 10 or even 11. Why is that not obtainable?

You first said expectation; goals and expectations aren't the same thing.

Then substitute expectations in for anytime I said goals.

I really just want to compete for a Dr. Pepper every 3-4 years and make any bowl the rest. We don't seem to be on that path right now.
