when you think about the ocean, think about how steve Irwin spent a lifetime wrestling with brackish water's biggest and deadliest killing machines without incident and a day he spent peacefully snorkeling in blue water ended with a spear though the heart by an ocean creature smaller than a standard American chicken fried steak.

Most climbing incidents are on the way down, because you aren't as vigilant then.

Well now think about this.  If you were stranded in the ocean, a gigantic body of water, you would have nothing to drink.

Wasn't fast enough to get the pic last trip, but we saw what the captain thought was a 16-18' shark swimming right behind our boat, about 15' away.  IIRC, he thought it was a Mako.  It never breached, but was only a couple feet down.  You could see his entire body very easily.

That's what the guy said after the fact.  Also, the way we were fishing was trolling with an attraction device the size of a bowling pin skipping on the top of the water with our actual lures right below the surface.  Basically shark crack.
