Is klein going to be worthless with only being around a deadbeat staff? I don't even know if he can be a great coach but if he is learning at the feet of Dana and Del it makes me think he will develop into what they are.
Also, I don't see Dana and Del (plus Coleman and Dickey) as a deadbeat staff. I was concerned last year and early this year, but I see the offense evolving and improving steadily now. Ertz has arguably better numbers as a first year starter compared to Klein, the offense doesn't turn it over, and I think the young group of offensive line, running backs, and receivers means good things for the future. IMO next year we are looking at a Top 30 offense nationally.
My biggest concerns are the trends on defense. Its good to see the improvement in TOs this year, but honestly part of TO numbers are pure luck. However, giving up explosive plays, not getting offenses off the field, and consistently having gap/scheme issues are huge problems even in a league filled with really good offenses. If we can't at least approach having and average defense, having good offense and special teams won't matter.
