That may be true generally, but if I'm correct that Burton's performance was atypical, then by definition that general rule doesn't apply here.
But what is your point? Are you just wanting Burton's "typical day" to fit your narrative that this offense sucks and are implying that in your opinion Burton had a "lucky day" so therefore the offense really does suck?
He had 5 catches. Against Stanford, OU, and Tech he had 4 catches in each game. He had 3 games with 5 catches last year. This game isn't some outlier, its not some guy like Reuter having 5 catches out of nowhere. Burton is a decent receiver who is more than capable of having a good game if the defense allows it and he did.
