Someday I want to do a John Currie interview outfit for every P5 school thread.

A twist - light a fire under Pete's ass and have him 'shop Currie into various outfits, and we guess what job he's interviewing for.

I swear on my life that JC has an assistant who checks this blog daily. It could even be captain crap or blackcats, but I doubt it is. Probably some poor intern.

Doesn't surprise me. Knowing the little slice I get from a few people associated with the Athletic department, JC is a micromanager and obsessed about imagery. To assign have someone(s) to regularly keep a pulse on the goings ons from the outside of k-state athletics sounds exactly like something he would do.
this ^^^^
Last spring, the collegian was working on story about sportsmanship and Currie's office was a no comment.
When the story ran is was headlined "The Death of the K-State Family"
The next morning Currie's people called to set up meeting with Collegian staff to "get on the same page" with the Athletic Department........which is, of course a bunch of bullshit.....he is leaning on them because they got his attention.

Now, once a month he stops by for what he call an open-ended forum to field questions from the writers and editors........but the best part is that he never answers the questions, instead fires back the same old talking points of top research university by 2020 ect.

true story.....

I'm conflicted about ADJC leaving. He's the reason we have Oscar (good riddance), but he's Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men in keeping us from HC Sean Snyder (I want him on that wall, I need him on that wall).

But if he leaves, I'm 100% in favor of hiring Cheyenne Zulu away from ku just for the trolling value.

I think I want him here until right before Bill retires.  Let him get as much money/facility work done as possible without him putting some loser behind the football wheel. New guy (hopefully not a pud)  can come in,  fire oscar,  and hire both jobs.

If you want troll value do it now.  They hate his "purple ass". Also ample opportunity to bring up that we has just told him thanks but no thanks when Currie was hired.

Yeah, we would really troll KU by hiring the worst AD at any power 5 school out from under them. They'd probably never recover.
