Starting own thread because my title is so much better. Proud to watch people rise up against executive and bureaucratic tyranny. Wish it was us, but we seem to be moving in opposite direction.

Can you even imagine if we had national referendums on issues as opposed to politicians? If we had a national vote on border enforcement? Obamacare?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

This is worse for the EU than Great Britain in the long run.

We have a Brit staying with us this week.  She voted to stay but now leans toward leaving after looking into it more.  Curious to see her feelings in the morning.

I just saw a scottish MP and she was PISSED.  Sinn Fein just called for a revote on a united Ireland.  Wonder how much staying power these reactions have.  In 2014 the Scottish independence referendum was 55% no, hard to imagine this would swing it by that much by the time the vote happens, but who knows.

not sure i buy a united ireland, but i could see northern ireland leaving the uk and joining the eu as an independent state.  i think that would be a longer-term deal though.  scotland may be gone in a heartbeat.

If UK immediately goes in to a recession, it will be interesting to see what the reaction is from all parties.

Tying together the economies of radically different cultures was a dumb idea in the first place.

If UK immediately goes in to a recession, it will be interesting to see what the reaction is from all parties.

A pro-Leave politican was saying on CNN that there will be "short-term" consequences, but this is best for Britain in the long-term.  Did not specify what "long-term" means.

Nigel Farage is pretty awful.  Boris Johnson is awful.  And these guys were leading the charge.

Yikes.
