Texas's win is looking ND is looking less impressive by the week. I'd have them lower.

We're 12th in rushing defense if you look at stats that matter. I was surprised to see that we allow more points per play than West Virginia. They allow more yards per play than us, though.

Honestly, points per play is a dumb stat. It rewards defenses for giving up a few first downs then forcing a punt compared to defenses that force a 3 & out or a quick turnover. Points per possession is probably the best stat to evaluate a defense by.

Wheels could come off, but there's no denying that OU has only lost to good teams at this point. They're not elite, but they're solid and well coached, which could easily win the Big 12 this year.

no one really knew what we had in '11 before Baylor either.  that's why we weren't ranked and why the stadium wasn't full.  I just remember thinking that week "this could be an important win."

yeah, but it was sure was fun to beat them like we used to in the good ol' days - instead of a 34-13 snoozefest.  it's also fun to have guys like Pringle and Heath catching passes instead of Stanton Weber.
