The only reasonable case to be made for more than 5 wins hangs on the UT game and @WVU.

Baylor will be good if they don't have players bolt and/or get soul-crushing penalties and coaching changes.

Also I am probably less excited for this season than I've ever been. Pretty much all I care about is somehow squeezing 7 wins out of this year so Snyder can get to 200 and the entire coaching staff can gtfo.

Here's the deal: Our offense is generally at least decent.  Last year was the exception to that, but I think that given the circus at QB and the complete lack of talent at WR (two issues which I doubt will repeat this year), that can be overlooked given the other however many seasons he's been in charge where he's put together a capable offense.

If our defense is half as good as the ESPN folks think it is, then I think we'll be a pretty formidable team in a pretty weak year in the Big 12.
