I've thought about retrofitting the old Subaru with an Android auto deck. Maybe add a backup camera? Anyone done something like this?

Fun fact about me, I've never owned a car with a backup camera (too poor) unless you count my wife's leaf that we sold when we left California

I've never owned a car with a backup camera, unless you count the lefty virtue-signaling EV I did own but sold because I walk and/or take public transpo everywhere as a responsible earth citizen (except when I have to move our 1 vehicle each week for street sweeping; then, all bets are off).

I’m not sure how I ever survived without one. When I drive cars(not mine) that don’t have a backup camera I am like wtf even is this

personally I have:

-had someone back in to me in a car in a parking lot
-backed up in to my mom's car when she parked behind me in my driveway and I didn't notice
-spent hours of my life waiting for people on Moro to finish their prayers as they back up and then leave half their ass in the road and decide if the person behind them wants the spot (much improved by the camera/proximity beep)

probably a farm thread cross post but I can back a truck WITH A TRAILER at probably 40 mph for as long and as accurately as you need me to. we are built differently.

ANOTHER BRAG: I can slowly back a double trailer (tractor, implement, anhydrous tank) reliably. This is an impossible task for 99.99999% of human beings.

I can't do it at 40 but I have impressed myself with the tight spaces I have backed trailers in to

i had a car once that the transmission or some part important for shifting the gears or whatever got mumped and it wouldn't work in any of the forward gears but still worked in reverse so i drove it like 15 miles in reverse to a mechanic.

I cannot backup trailer for crap, but I am getting better.  Backup camera on my Ridgeline has fancy angles and it makes backing up super easy, and has the warning lights and beeps when a car is coming.  Very very handy.

The most impressive is how well you can backup a short tongue trailer. That is the true test

That doesn't move the needle for me.  It's impossible to begin with.  It really can't be more impossible.

I think it could help with your angles and knowing how close you are to the curb

it’s exceeded my expectations

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Sd totally emasculating many of us w this post. It’s a line of demarcation in manliness I’ve yet to cross. And he’s in here backing up double trailers as well.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
